About Me

Hi, I’m Kelly.
It’s nice to meet you!

Thank you for looking at my website and considering me to be your counsellor.

To introduce myself, I am a fully qualified person-centred counsellor, and also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Kelly Lockwood

My Story

I have always worked with people, from children through to adults, in a range of fields and sectors, and have loved learning about people’s individuality, uniqueness and what makes them who they are. I also believe in people’s ability to reach their potential, to become the best version of who they want to be, and to find the belief in being their true selves.

My own path to becoming a counsellor began after I myself had counselling and saw firsthand the difference that it can make and the impact that it can have.

Through counselling, I started to understand myself more, believe in myself more, and reconnect to who I truly am. From there, grew self-belief, trust in my own instinct and abilities, and a reimagining of the world around me.

This experience and all that came from it, led me to decide to change career path, and begin my counselling training, with the person-centred approach being the modality that resonated most with me.

Abstract

I believe in the power of connection.

I believe that when the road we are travelling grows dark or uncertain, having someone to walk alongside us, without judgement, and with compassion, openness and empathy, can help us find our way again.

I believe that the potential is within us all, even when it feels like it might not be, or when we might feel lost.

And I believe that counselling can provide the space that enables us to safely explore our world and what is going on within and around us, so that we can grow, thrive and be who we truly are, and want to be.

I believe in you!
